Thanked Stacey Triplett and Corie Harlan for the amazing job they did coordinating the competition and event. Thanked former Metro Councilor Brian Newman, who was the original champion of the idea for an international design compoeition.
He welcomed the University of Oregon School of Architecture presence in the old White Stag building in old town Portland. Metro and the new school will only be 2 stops apart on light rail so he looks forward to more frequent collaborations in the future.
